Composer / Sound Designer / Live Performer

Istanbul-based electronic music artist Pleizel is the stage identity of composer and sound designer İzel Baybars.

In her live performances, Pleizel offers a distinctive experience through original productions and a narrative-driven approach, creating a unique storytelling space within the electronic music scene.

Her sound moves fluidly between IDM, cinematic elements, ambient, techno, and trance—crafting atmospheric and multi-layered sonic experiences. In 2024, she gained international recognition with her debut EP Primal Touch, released under Max Cooper’s label Mesh.

Having performed at some of Europe’s leading venues such as Paradiso Amsterdam, KOKO London, and Earth London, Pleizel has strengthened her presence on stage by connecting with international audiences through her powerful live performances.

A graduate of SAE Institute in audio engineering, İzel Baybars also works as a composer and sound designer for advertising, film, and digital art projects. Both her solo work and the projects she has contributed to have received awards on national and international platforms.

As a co-founder of the creative sound and music studio IO Things, Pleizel produces interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of art, music, and technology—exploring the spatial, emotional, and conceptual dimensions of sound for brands and cultural institutions.

With a refined sonic aesthetic and a strong narrative focus in both her live and studio work, Pleizel continues to carve out a distinct place in the electronic music landscape—emerging as one of the standout live producers in the scene.
